Efficiency Maine Appliance Rebate Program
Efficiency Maine's Residential Programs support Mainers with energy improvements ranging from lighting updates to whole-house retrofits. Rebates of $500 are available for Maine residents upgrading ENERGY STAR heat pumps through the Appliance Rebate Program.
New Hampshire Electric Co-op Heat Pump Incentives:
The New Hampshire Electric Co-op is offering incentives of 35% of up to $2,000 for equipment with a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) of 16 or higher, and a HSPF efficiency of 9 or higher.

Efficiency Vermont Cold Climate Heat Pump Program
Rebates of $750
for first indoor unit, and $500
for second indoor unit, are available to homes and businesses in the Green Mountain Power area of Vermont (former CVPS service territory). The home or business must have a current and operational oil, kerosene, or propane central heat heating system. For complete details, click here
Federal Tax Credits
Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit:
Credits of up to $300 are available for Heat Pumps. Equipment must be new and in compliance with all applicable performance and safety standards as described in tax code.
