Health & Dental Insurance Plans - Eligible employees can choose the comprehensive medical and dental plans best suited to their individual and family needs. Dead River Company pays a significant portion of the cost of our medical plans. We offer a Health Savings Account (with company contribution) with our large deductible health insurance option.
401(k) Retirement Savings Plan - Employees who work a minimum of 1,000 hours per year are eligible to contribute to our 401(k) plan after 90 days of employment. Dead River Company provides a generous employer match after 12 months of employment.
Vacation and Holiday Pay - Eligible employees receive between two and four weeks' vacation annually based on years of service and job type. Dead River Company also provides 10 paid holidays each year to all regular full-time employees. Full-time seasonal employees are also eligible for holiday pay.
Paid Sick Time - Regular full-time employees are eligible for sick pay for their own illness or the illness of an immediate family member.

Share the Care Day - Each year, Dead River Company sponsors a company-wide volunteer effort know as Share the Care Day. We provide employees with up to eight hours of paid time to participate in a volunteer effort with other employees across a market area, supporting our corporate charitable mission of meeting people's basic needs in areas of food and fuel assistance.
Time to Share - Dead River Company provides a Time to Share benefit to support the efforts of our employees who volunteer their own time to a non-profit of their choice. When an employee volunteers a minimum of 50 hours, up to a maximum of 250 hours, during a calendar year, we will match $1.00 per hour to the qualifying nonprofit.
Caring by Doing - To support our employee's participation in walk-a-thons, road races, or other fundraising activities, Dead River Company provides $50 sponsorships to qualifying non-profit organizations.
